How I WorkI specialize in working with individuals who experience symptoms related to PTSD and C-PTSD with a special focus on First Responders—including on-duty and retired Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters, Paramedics, EMS, Military veterans, Command Staff, civilian Department Personnel and Spouses.
My work with individuals is rooted in somatically informed psychotherapy treatment models for people who experience psycho-biological symptoms and challenges as a result of single incident trauma (sometimes referred to as "big T" traumas) and/or chronic traumatic stressors over an extended amount of time (sometimes referred to as "little t" traumas). Some typical psycho-biological symptoms and challenges individuals experience and seek my services for include (but aren't limited to): anxiety, depression, insomnia, nightmares, panic attacks, anger outbursts, strained interpersonal and/or professional relationship dynamics, substance use for stress or symptom management, OCD, chronic pain, parenting challenges, divorce, grief and loss. |
